I come in peace.
I haven't made a final decision on what I'll be writing on, but here's what I expect will be most often mentioned:
- My firsthand experiences with emergent and sandbox gaming, which, IMHO, has incredible untapped potential. The first regular feature I'm planning on this blog will be an ongoing chronicle of a Minecraft world that I'll cultivate for your reading pleasure (and my gaming pleasure, naturally). If you aren't familiar with the incredibly fast-growing indie gaming phenomenon that is Minecraft, consider yourself obligated to check it out at www.minecraft.net without further ado.
- Reviews of any remotely interesting PC game I encounter and feel like writing about. I'll take recommendations for what to play next . . . but no promises! I'm a gamer on a budget of time and money, after all. Also, I'm almost exclusively a PC gamer, so that's what I'll be confining myself to. It's also likely that I'll include the occasional piece on an MMORPG, but the only one of those I've been playing thus far would be Runescape, a fine product of British developer Jagex.
- Noteworthy events related (or not) to the aforementioned topics that I consider worth mentioning.
- Anything else I feel like ranting about - it's my blog, right?
Next up, I'll actually write something that may be worth reading.
